Safety information
- Never swallow. The liquid is highly toxic if swallowed. Call a poison control centre immediately, in an acute emergency dial 112. Do not induce vomiting.
- Do not combine with erectile dysfunction medication (PDE-5 inhibitors such as Viagra, Cialis, Levitra), nitrates, GHB or GBL. This can cause circulatory failure. We advise against mixing poppers with any other substances.
- Avoid poppers completely if you have heart or circulatory disease, significantly low blood pressure, glaucoma or another eye condition, anaemia or known methaemoglobinaemia, or an acute respiratory condition such as an asthma attack, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you take blood pressure medication regularly, avoid poppers or have your tolerance checked by a doctor.
- Open bottles only in well-ventilated rooms. Poppers are highly flammable: keep them away from open flames and sources of ignition.
- In case of skin or eye contact: wash skin immediately with plenty of soap and water and seek medical advice if irritation occurs. Rinse eyes under running water for at least 10 minutes and see a doctor.
- In case of shortness of breath, fainting or persistent impaired consciousness, dial 112 immediately. Place an unconscious person who is breathing normally in the recovery position.
- If you notice visual disturbances, stop using poppers and have your eyes checked by an ophthalmologist. Retinal damage has been described.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets. Sold only to persons aged 18 and over.
